Focus of Learning and Discussion
An in-depth review of the Tech for Good program (March of Dimes Canada) which provides people of all ages with professional assistance to independently use or control their mobile phone and tablet. Tech for Good offers customized recommendations, training and support on mobile devices and related assistive technology in order to help individuals overcome barriers to digital accessibility. In addition, a review of the Tech for Impact Fund will be provided, which offers financial support to individuals with disabilities on low income to obtain the technology required to be more independent.

Program Manager, Technology Programs, March of Dimes CanadaJamie has 9 years of experience in the field of vocational rehabilitation. For the last 5 years, she has been working with March of Dimes Canada, first as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist working with Veterans to support their transition to civilian employment and then moved into a management role overseeing Atlantic Canada and Manitoba. She recently moved into a new role where she is managing the Tech for Good program as well as the Tech Impact Fund at MODC. The Tech for Good program provides training to individuals with disabilities on accessible technology for mobile devices and the Tech Impact Fund provides the financial support to obtain the technology required to be more independent.
